From first look you can see straight away that it has a nice, large 7″ colour display, which provides enough room for you to see both the full waveform of the track and the zoomed-in waveform as well, along with track information. The browse knob is also located to the right of the screen and source selection buttons to the left in the same way it is on the full-size CDJ decks that you’d find in clubs. This is just one example of how the layout of the XDJ-RR mirrors Pioneer DJ club setups, which prepares you for moving onto the pro gear in the future, if needs be. Your Rekordbox-analysed tunes will also work on the flagship units in the same way that they do in the XDJ-RR, so all your beat grids and hot cues will be there for you ready to go.
